The seminar, entitled <strong>\u201cApplications of Mathematics in Industry,\u201d<\/strong> was presented by <strong>Dr. Somayeh Ghiasi Hafezi<\/strong> and was held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty.<\/p>\n<p>In this engaging seminar, in addition to faculty members from the <strong>Faculty of Basic Sciences and Engineering<\/strong>, students from the basic sciences departments and a large number of engineering students also participated.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar, which was warmly welcomed by students, provided valuable insights into the applications of mathematics in industry and helped students develop a deeper and broader understanding of mathematics and its practical applications.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the event, <strong>Dr. Talaei<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics, presented a commemorative gift to the invited speaker, who was a guest from <strong>Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company in Sirjan<\/strong>, and expressed her appreciation and gratitude for her valuable presentation and participation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Faculty of Mathematics at Shiraz University of Technology, in collaboration with the Scientific Association of the Faculty, organized a seminar on the occasion of International Women in Mathematics Day on May 11, 2023.
