Faculty of Mathematics

The Faculty of Mathematics was established in May 2004 as one of the academic departments within the Faculty of Basic Sciences at Shiraz University of Technology, with the mission of advancing education and research in various applied fields of mathematics that address the needs of society.

In pursuit of excellence in higher education and the advancement of mathematical knowledge, the Faculty launched its Master’s (M.Sc.) program from the very beginning of its establishment. Subsequently, to further strengthen fundamental research and contribute to the development of highly qualified academic staff for universities across the country, the Faculty admitted its first Ph.D. students in Mathematics in February 2011.
