The Scientific Association of Mathematics at Shiraz University of Technology, on the occasion of National Mathematics Day, organized a webinar on May 17, 2025, entitled “Solving the System Ax=b Using Quantum Computing.”
The invited speaker of the webinar was Dr. Sajjad Fathi Hafshejani, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Lethbridge, Canada. Dr. Fathi is also a Ph.D. graduate of Shiraz University of Technology.
During the webinar, Dr. Fathi discussed the applications of solving the Ax=b system in the field of force analysis and highlighted the fundamental role of solving linear systems in various fields, including physics, engineering, machine learning, and scientific simulations.
This valuable webinar introduced students to the expanding applications of mathematics in industry and provided them with deeper insights into the practical role of mathematical sciences in advanced technologies.
